The first half ended scoreless with the Eastern side very unlucky not to register a score. Michael Hammersley scored the opener in the second half with a cracking shot from distance, however Michael dislocated his knee moments afterwards putting an end to his participation for the remaining games. Munster went on to score 2 more goals to secure victory.

Munster went on to play against Ulster, Leinster and Connaught, however results did not go their way and so they made their exit from the competition on Saturday afternoon.
