Ballinderry was the venue for this league fixture between Shannon Rangers and Rearcross ‘B’ last Sunday afternoon with the home side claiming maximum points on a three nil score line. A well contested opening half saw the sides scoreless at the break with James Nolan coming closest for Rearcross. Shannon Rangers hit the front midway through the second half when Padraig O’Meara tapped in from a tight angle. Brian Hourigan made it two nil to the home side with a screamer of a free kick from all of thirty five yards and then Darren Carroll wrapped it up for Shannon Rangers with a fine effort to the top corner with seconds remaining. Rearcross also had their chances in the second half with efforts from Liam Ryan and Raymond Williams not far away.
